We have developed some of the first millimeter-wave radiometer systems, including total power and correlation modes, designed to detect human presence from a mobile robotic mobile platform. We are also developing novel Doppler-based detection and tracking of people and objects.
Shown here is a Ka-band correlation radiometer (two lens antennas in black) designed for the detection of human presence, mounted atop a rotating platform on a mobile robotic platform, along with a w-band total power radiometer (lens in the center).
